Palliative Home Care and Out Patient Clinics

We aspire to promote a life with dignity and quality until the very last breath. Support for the families and the patients through out their journey and beyond for the ones left behind emotionally, socially and financially.

As we continue with Palliative Care Education for hospitals, especially nurses and the public we also work with institutions and individuals who provide free home care and free out patient clinics, especially in remote areas of Mizoram, Assam, West Bengal and in Delhi NCR…

These organizations and individuals provide tireless home care in harsh weather conditions, where there are barely paths instead of roads, to give a glimmer of hope, comfort, relief from pain, and isolation, assurance and some joy… And when the time comes bereavement support.

Small outpatient clinics make a big impact and carry a huge patient load as they provide dressing changes, free medicines, counselling and education to young and old.

Kooch Bihar is one of those small towns that is falling through the cracks of the system The health care is strongly privatized, NGO numbers are diminishing, hospitals are closing down ,charity out patient clinics are too few for the growing population and the influx of people. There is no outreach and home care services. Patients and families who come from remote villages have no place to stay during or in between treatments at the hospitals. Sometimes teenagers who need medical care have no guardians and no place to stay. There are also quite a few children spotted on the trains with no family and no place to go…
We aspire for a rather large project for a very large need…

In the Trinity Cottage building and on the small land surrounding it We are in the planning stages of an out patient clinic and a Home away from Home for children and their families to stay during and in between treatments, for children with special needs who need life long palliative care and a place for the very sick to find refuge, be treated with love and respect and die in dignity… Home care and out reach will also be a branch of this project…
