Trinita began its journey in 1997 working in the areas of health, education, nutrition and skill development training for marginalized women, street children and child laborers in the eastern part of Kolkata. The organization was founded by a group of volunteer doctors and social activists. Trinita is presently working in the districts of Cooch Behar, 24 Parganas South and Hooghly and maintains over 20 small centers in diverse areas of Kolkata.
